P.S. This is not sponsored by DavidsTea (hopefully my next posts will be in the future! LOL) but I absolutely love their teas, and am looking forward to another batch being delivered soon!

1. Hazelnut Chocolate

Perfect for: cozy afternoons curled up on the couch with a good book with a scented candle on the side

Now if you love chocolate and hazelnuts, you’ll absolutely love this tea. It’s sweet but not too much since the Pu’erh tea balances the flavor nicely. According to DavidsTea, they created this after 6 months of trial and error! Thanks for the amazing dedication, DavidsTea. Now we have the perfect drink for our cozy afternoons! Just don’t drink it a little too late as it does have medium caffeine. Bonus: it can double as your sweet treat after lunch as well! Add some milk and you’ve got yourself a delicious tea latte for dessert.

2. Valerian Nights

Perfect while wearing pajamas and easing into your evening routine after a relaxing bath or shower

Next relaxing tea for your daily self-care break is Valerian Nights. This can be your nightcap while you ease into your bedtime routine (and if you don’t have one, here’s my recommendation for a relaxing one!). Imagine the taste of caramel and coconut on your tongue while you write in your journal, thinking about the things you’re grateful for in the day. That makes me look forward to wearing my pajamas and getting into bed!

If you’re having trouble sleeping, this tea might also help since it contains valerian root, often referred to as “nature’s Valium”. It can help you relax, promote sleep and reduce anxiety, based on this article from Healthline. Of course, Valerian Nights is caffeine-free, so you can be sure to sleep well.

3. Lavender Buttercream

Perfect for: relaxing your mind in the middle of the day, listening to soothing music and just being in the moment

If you prefer something a little more floral yet still sweet, this dessert tea is perfect. DavidsTea says it tastes like “vanilla cake with lavender buttercream frosting“. Sounds dreamy, right? I always feel like I’m sinking into a cloud when I drink this. I usually add in some oat milk—it just blends together and tastes absolutely heavenly. This is relaxation in a cup, and one of the teas that got me hooked for good.

4. Coconut Oolong

Perfect for: those quick little pick-me-ups that help you calm down and reset throughout the day

When you think relax, does your mind automatically whip up beach scenery? If so, Coconut Oolong is the drink for you. It’s delightfully coconut-y and refreshing, giving you a boost on those quick self-care breaks. That way, you can be “on the beach” for a few moments, then get back to tackling that project. And if you’re not taking mini self-care breaks throughout the day, it’s time to learn the art of pausing.

5. Chocolate Earl Grey

Perfect for: catching up with your loved ones, whether over Zoom or in person.

Some of our self-care breaks call for conversations with people we love and trust. Whether you’re ranting, sharing your thoughts, or just catching up on life, speaking to another human being can be just what we need to complete our day. Having a cup of tea with you can help the conversation flow, refresh your throat during the gab session, and make you more relaxed (even when you’re venting!). For these moments, try Chocolate Earl Grey—it tastes like panettone, an Italian sweet bread. It smells divine—a delightful mix of fruity and floral, with a hint of chocolate. And this in itself can be a conversation starter!
