Eyes narrowed
Sultry sundry
Moving to this beat
With you under me
Cheeks flushed
Breathing heavy
Imaginations fly
Sighing softly
What is this
Earthly heaven
Vainly forbidden
Pleasure garden
Exploding in tremors
Trembling sensations
Biting my lips
To your vibrations
Victims to our hearts
Slaves to our senses
Only for these moments
Of shadow dances
Sweaty heaps
Spent souls
We are one
We are whole

I felt as if I was swept up in the enthrall of this couple’s dance. Excellent word choice.

Thanks so much Kimberlie! 🙂 I’m glad you liked it.

I love this poem! Your words were really evocative and I imagined a night that started at a sweaty street dance with a few too-sweet tropical drinks and ended with tangled sheets. I always enjoy writing that paints an entire story in my mind.

Yaay! I’m so glad you liked it, Summer. I love the story you painted with it too! Hahaha sounds like a scene from a movie.
