I’m on a bullet train with no breaks
Even if I slow down inside
The whole world still slips right on by
Not a moment to lose
Not a moment to catch my breath
And say goodbye
Because the world is still turning
The sun is still shining
And time is still ticking
And my heart though broken
Is still beating for you
And the days they grow warmer
And the nights they turn colder
But there’s no stopping it from doing so
Just like I can’t stop
My hair from turning gray
Or my youth from flying away
And there’s nothing to do but move forward, anyway.

Beautifully written! Life does move forward, through the ups and downs. A constant.

Thank you! 🙂 Yes, a constant. Sometimes we might wish we could stop it and pause for a while, but of course, there’s really nothing to do but move with it. 🙂

I love this! Such a relatable message – we’ve all been in that place at one point or another… Struggling to deal with something that feels like it’s going to stop our life in its tracks while the rest of the world continues to press on around us.
Kathleen
Thanks Britt, that’s exactly the feeling I was trying to express! 🙂 I’m happy you liked it.
