There are days when you wake up unmotivated. Or times when you’ve just finished half of your work day and are feeling extra exhausted. I’ve just discovered the perfect pick-me-up for those days, and they’re delicious, easy to make, and health-tea. Yes, teas can power you through the day!
I only started drinking the good stuff regularly this year. It has now become an important part of my daily routine. After I take my 20-minute lunch break nap, having that cup of tea to look forward to makes me get back out of bed and motivates me to start working again.
Before I start my list of delicious teas, I have to mention that the teas here are all from DavidsTea. I haven’t gotten over the delicious blends they have, but as soon as I’ve gone through half of my batch, I will definitely try out more teas from other shops and share them with you. Note that this isn’t a DavidsTea sponsored post, I am just a genuine fan.
Table of Contents
Teas that power you through the day: S’mores Chai
This is my absolute favorite and just thinking about it makes me feel giddy for some reason. The reason is that it’s absolutely lovely. If you like cinnamon, dark chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows, then you won’t have any reason not to like this tea. From the smell alone you will already be transported to a campfire somewhere. And since most of us are working from home, doesn’t that feel extra cozy?
S’mores chai is a pu’erh tea (fermented tea) that has medium caffeine in it. For me, the kick doesn’t come from the caffeine, but the smell and the spicy chocolate-y flavor. Definitely give this a try if you haven’t yet.
Jasmine Crème Brulée
Crème Brulée is French for burnt cream and this tea tastes exactly like that. It smells heavenly and leaves a floral aftertaste from the jasmine. If you crave dessert after eating, this is the perfect tea for you.
You can add a bit of cream or milk to make it taste even better. Jasmine Crème Brulée is green tea and has medium caffeine, so you can swap your 2nd cup of coffee with this to power you through the rest of the day.
Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait
Don’t you just love how these names sound? Another one of my favorites, I love reaching for this drink when I need an extra boost of energy. The sweet and tangy taste of this tea, along with its bright red color, will definitely get you through that busy day.
Technically a tisane or herbal tea, Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait doesn’t really have the Camellia sinensis leaves in it. It’s caffeine-free and great for both kids and adults.
Pistachio Ice Cream
I kid you not, drinking this black tea is like eating vanilla ice cream. It’s so curious how they were able to infuse that exact same flavor, with that subtle smack of pistachio. The best thing about Pistachio Ice Cream is that you can definitely go for seconds without the added guilt.
Moreover, black tea is known to have antioxidant properties and may help boost heart health and lower blood sugar levels.
Teas that power you through the day: Just Peachy
Another of my favorite blends, Just Peachy is a caffeine-free herbal tea that’s perfect for the summer. Drinking this makes me feel like I’m on a picnic in the park with the bright sun overhead and a breeze blowing through. The taste is not too sweet and not too bland, just peachy!
If you like artificial fruit juices, swap those with this and get rid of any added sugars but not any of that delicious flavor! This is one of those refreshing teas will blow all that stress away and power you through the day.
Cookie Dough
Cookie dough is a low caffeine white tea that tastes like (yup you guessed it) its name. It’s absolutely scrumptious and is another one that you can reach for when you’re craving something sweet to drink while working on your next project.

Grand Cru Matcha
For me, matcha is the king of green teas since you drink the tea leaf itself and not just liquid steeped in it. It also has a lot of antioxidants and increased levels of L-theanine, an amino acid that is linked to mental relaxation and can help you de-stress. Make sure you get one from a reputable brand to ensure you get the best quality. The one I’ve tried is Grand Cru Matcha from DavidsTea.
Matcha is usually prepared with a bamboo whisk, but for those of you who just don’t have the time (or patience) for that, DavidsTea has a matcha maker that makes preparing it super fast and easy.
If you’re not a big fan of the flavor but don’t want to miss out on the benefits, you can try the other flavored matcha teas from DavidsTea or simply add some nut milks to try to change the taste. Personally, I love it just the way it is, grassy, clean, and a tiny bit bitter.
Chocolate Covered Strawberry
A caffeine-free maté tea, Chocolate Covered Strawberry tastes exactly like that. And who doesn’t love strawberries drizzled with chocolate? This is another dessert tea that can really wake you up especially on those lazy days when all you want to do is lie in bed. Play some relaxing no-lyric background music and you’re ready to get through all those tasks!
These teas power you through the day
I know I absolutely sounded besotted with these teas, and that’s because I am. Teas absolutely power me through the day. If you’re feeling lazy, the thought of a delicious, warm cup will definitely get you going. It’s relaxing as well, so you’re awake but not anxious or pressured.
The great thing is that they taste great, have virtually zero calories, and have health benefits, especially if you choose green or black tea. Tea helps you get the best of all the worlds. All in all, teas are a wonderful way to power you through any kind of day!

Oh my gosh, I have definitely been a boring tea drinker! Plain green tea or some Earl Grey with heavy cream is all the excitement I’ve had lol. These all sound so lovely, I didn’t even realize these flavors were a thing! I’ll have to give them a try.

I love tea! When I lived in London with my young son he had “Tea Time” in the afternoon at his preschool – it was so charming, always tea and a treat at 3 p.m. We adopted this into our family and drink tea now throughout the day and in the evening. Cold in the summer and hot in the winter. Thanks for these suggestions, I especially appreciate the caffeine free ones as I need to sleep at night!! ?
Kathleen
Ooh, yeah that does sound very charming! It’s great that the whole family is into it now! 🙂
I’m glad you liked it and hope you get to try these teas or similar ones. 🙂 A good caffeine-free one for sleep is Valerian Nights, also from DavidsTea! 🙂
Kat&Phil
Woah!! We had no idea some of these flavors existed!! Creme Brulee and Pistachio Ice Cream would be our picks. Thanks for sharing!!
Kathleen
Yeah! They’re super delicious. 🙂 There are so many other teas out there waiting to be sampled! Hahahaha.
